Audio Generator
The device is an auto audio signal generator that is connected to the sound card on the computer. The audio signal generator in AUDMES is able to realize a variety of frequency waveform and frequency modulation. Its main characteristics include the following:

When you sweep frequency, you can obtain a frequency spectrum by overlaying the swept frequency curve on the frequency spectrum. This is especially useful for the analysis of the circuit frequency spectrum. Using this function, you can quickly test a frequency-sensitive electrical component.

The program includes three modes of operation: “Stand-alone”, “Remote Control” and “Audiophile”.
Stand-alone mode
In this mode the user can select and measure the frequency range of interest.
In this mode the user can select and plot the frequency range of interest, the frequencies can be measured, the frequency response of each sound channel can be selected and specified (for example 3 dB, 6 dB, etc…).
The graphic settings can be saved and loaded into this mode.
“Remote Control” mode
The user can remotely control the setup and measurement of sound by using his PC.
The remote control is very simple and very useful for those with little knowledge in audio.
The remote control can be done by using the Windows Remote Control Wizard as a client and the AUDMES software as a server.
In this mode the user can select and measure the frequency range of interest in the remote client and specify the required frequency response for each sound channel in the remote server.
“Audiophile” mode
This mode allows to measure the frequency range of an audio signal (in the stand-alone mode), and to save the frequency characteristics in a file.
(the maximum size of the file is constrained by the size of the soundcard.
In this mode the user can “batch” measurements saving a file of several channel (up to 16 channels) with his recording.

– CALIBRATED FREQUENCY:
AUDMES CALIBRATE FREQUENCY (Voluntary) allows you to determine the frequency of signal accurate.
When operating AUDMES CALIBRATED FREQUENCY you can choose the audio frequency to calibrate (it’s usually 1kHz) and start reading the frequency on the display screen. It’s not necessary to calibrate the frequency of signal once it’s determined, but it’s still recommended for calibration. Check the result on the screen and adjust the frequency until the recorded measurement matches the displayed frequency.
– ARTIFICIAL INDEX:
ARTIFICIAL INDEX provides indications for the level of signal sensitivity.
When the ARTIFICIAL INDEX is adjusted high, the level of signal sensitivity is increased. When adjusting ARTIFICIAL INDEX low, the level of signal sensitivity is decreased.
– FINE LEVEL:
FINE LEVEL can be used to adjust the range of DC analysis with good resolution. FINE LEVEL can be adjusted from 0 to 255 and DC level value can be displayed on the screen.
– THRESHOLD LEVEL:
THRESHOLD LEVEL can be used to adjust the level of audio signal threshold within the range of [0, 255]. When THRESHOLD LEVEL is adjusted to high, the amplitude of signal within a certain range of level is reduced. When adjusting THRESHOLD LEVEL to low, the amplitude of signal within a certain range of level is increased.
– SURFING, SCREEN AND WIDGET:
SURFING and SCREEN: You can view the waveform in the FFT and Measurement Window. You can also view the sound signal of sound card. Click SURFING and you can see the waveform of the sound signal in the Measurement Window.
For a better view, go to SCREEN and adjust the FFT and Measurement Window level with the Adjust column.
After you’ve set the display settings, click WIDGET to enlarge the view or reduce it with this display switch.
