“486: The Lost Files is a 2013 point and click, homage to early PC adventure games. It takes place in the year 1986, and the main character lives with his father in a small and lonely farm. He is a quick-witted and brave boy. Then, one day, tragedy strikes! His dad disappears. No notes, nothing. No clue where he has gone. Suddenly, the boy is stuck in a hell of mystery and deranged murders. Only the 12-year-old boy, with great abilities to solve puzzles and the remarkable internal knowledge, can go a thousand miles through the twisted and full of danger passages to find his father. The problem is he needs to survive at any cost, and only perseverance can help him reach his goal.”
A great half-day’s work! This is a point-and-click adventure, so walking around and finding items is essential. There’s no quick-save in this game, so for me that means finding the key to a room or crate and opening it right away. Otherwise, I have to start over every time!
This is a welcome addition to my list, largely because there’s such a dearth of “these days”, but also because this is one of those “you better be in it for the long haul” sort of games. This one is a bit on the demanding side, so you have to enjoy a lot of perseverance. And you better be quick with the mouse!
It’s good to see that more and more games are beginning to incorporate a more retro atmosphere into their designs. This one actually feels like it was made in the 90s, but with updated graphics. I also love that there’s a twist at the end of this one, which I hadn’t seen coming. But don’t stop with just the ending. Keep playing.

Developed in Unity3DTranscriptome-wide study identifies 2662 differentially expressed genes in an acridine orange-treated neuroblastoma cell model.
In the present study, we addressed the following question: How many differentially expressed genes (DEGs) are induced when an NB SHSY5Y cell line is treated with acridine orange (AO), a substance that is known to induce apoptosis in both NB cell lines and primary human peripheral blood lymphocytes? AO-treated and control SHSY5Y cells were analyzed by comparative gene expression profiling using the Affymetrix Human Genome U133 Plus 2.0 Array. Analysis of data from six independent experiments indicated that the use of AO elicited the expression of 2662 DEGs. Of these DEGs, 1455 were upregulated and 1187 downregulated. A gene ontology analysis showed that DEGs are involved in processes related to apoptosis, mitochondria, and oxidative stress. A two-tier K-means clustering analysis indicated that there are eight clusters, which suggested that AO induces distinct transcriptional responses in NB cells. Interestingly, only one cluster included upregulated genes as well as downregulated genes, and only the genes in this cluster were involved in the regulation of the apoptosis. It is suggested that AO-induced apoptosis does not require the entire cluster of DEGs. Our results indicate that AO activates transcriptional network in NB cells and that the reason why NB cells are sensitive to AO’s toxicity may be due to the downregulation

Risen 2 is great value for money but not perfect

I have to say I’m surprised how polished Risen 2’s DLC has turned out. This is a sequel to a game that’s not exactly a well known franchise, and it’s nice to see that the developers of the game really put their heart and soul into it, and I can say they did a great job. This is not only a DLC which extends the main game, it’s also a stand alone game and is not plagued by the usual bugs people are struggling with, the gameplay

This is obtained by substituting $\mu$ with the physical pion mass $m_\pi$ in Eq. (\[eq:hpsit\]).
We see that the phase shifts of $\pi^+\Sigma^+$ state are much smaller than those of $\pi^0\Sigma^0$ and $\pi^-\Sigma^-$ states and so the $\pi^+\Sigma^+$ interaction is negligible compared with $\pi^0\Sigma^0$ and $\pi^-\Sigma^-$ channels. Moreover the kaon exchange diagrams are more important than photon exchange diagrams as the kaon mass is much smaller than the pion mass.

For the $\pi^0\Lambda$ and $\pi^0\Sigma$ channels, we plot the scattering length $a^I_J$ in Fig. \[fig:aIL\]. We see that these
