In the distant future the world is ruled by a military dictatorship, and this oppressive regime covers the land with a network of modern fortifications and secret research centres. If you’re unfamiliar with the local housing market, renting outside of the college town could prove a costly mistake. While you could rent privately in a “college only” market, it may be more cost effective to rent through SmartRenters.com, a real estate site that specializes in connecting college students with short-term rentals in cities across the country.
“This is one of our markets. I think it’s one of the most affordable markets in the country,” Myers said.
The company, launched in 2010, gives college students a chance to “rent with their peers,” as Myers described it. The site is comprised of more than 450,000 college students from more than 115 accredited schools and universities who have signed up to rent for less than $400 each year.

“Korpie” (loosely translated to “Parrot”) is an arty, hipster sci-fi game for
two players, played in the third person.
In this game you are “in character”, trying to accomplish the simple mission of
stopping a rogue robot from killing you with a laser gun. The evil robot must
be located, because robots don’t like small furry creatures.
It’s a “curve ball” prototype in progress, so the design and levels are
shifting a lot at the moment.
With a choice of two distinct robot characters, your mission will be different
depending on who you play as. You can only interact with the environment using
items you have collected, such as gas tanks and laser guns.
But don’t worry, there are no limits on your abilities! You can jump into
water, push buttons, and even enter the world of dreams!

“Korpie” is a super-small-sized game, in both a technical and
computational sense.
It was built in just five weeks with the Unity game engine by Pascal Boudreau.
From what I could tell, you’ll find it is rendered in about 40 units per second
on a fairly modest system. But that’s not the point.
The idea is to come to grips with the experience of building a fully
independent game, and using an open-source engine.
That’s why we’re keeping all the pieces of “Korpie” available as open-source.
Feel free to take the engine and make all kinds of games with it!

Getting back to Hijai’s summer posts, I am posting a review about this little book, which seems quite fascinating, specially for what he did, mixing the monochrome essence of the DC Comics universe with something sketchy but with a certain warmth inside of it. Quite nice people would call them Surrealist’s comics. Easy to describe it, and hard to explain with words, and believe me, it is hard to describe with words…but still I can find some words though. This is how I liked the book. Too blunt maybe, but my opinion is still.
First of all, let me explain to you what is a Billiards Block. To sum it up, what this Billiards Block is about? It is a word that is taken from the spelling of the word Block. A Billiards Block is about a tiny rectangle that we plant our 2D objectives into. Let’s imagine what would be our objective. “Ending the Meta Dimension” (a very bad pun, and I LOVE it, and that’s because of this pun) or, “Casting Protocols on the Meta Dimension”, whatever it is, but these are definitions that won’t matter much to know what this book is about. Basically, it is a book about dreams, in which you go inside somebody’s mind, and unblock it from the normal people’s perceptions. We are talking about a strange book, here! Have you ever read Mario Savio’s “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world, the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”.
This book is like that. It takes from the world around us, from what we see, and from what we own, and what has been done with them, and suddenly we see the world not exactly the way other people see it, but.. with a wisp of coloring. I am not so sure how to explain it to you. I mean, I know you are a nice person, not like one of those Trolls that see the world from a really black side.
It can be read as “I liked the book because the narration was really good, really fluid and natural, and the colors, oh the colors! The book was like flowing water. The book was like you were following a little run
