Users can also create and edit descriptive text and symbols, and apply color and texture to any object.

History

AutoCAD was originally created in 1982 and originally designed as a general purpose vector graphics program. It was created with the intent of being easy to learn and use. AutoCAD was first released in December 1982 as a desktop app running on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers. Before AutoCAD was introduced, most commercial CAD programs ran on mainframe computers or minicomputers, with each CAD operator (user) working at a separate graphics terminal.

The first version of AutoCAD, called “AutoCAD 1”, was released in 1983. It had a price tag of $1,995 (US). The first commercial implementation of AutoCAD was developed by Jay Ogilvie. AutoCAD was a well-received product, and it was successful in the small design and drafting market.

Autodesk bought the rights to AutoCAD from Ogilvie in 1986 and further developed AutoCAD for use by larger design and manufacturing companies. They released AutoCAD in 1989 for the $1,995 desktop market. In 1995,

How to resolve the following congruence mod $p$?

We have $p \in \mathbb{N}$. We want to solve the following congruence for $a \in \mathbb{N}$.
$$a^{p-1} \equiv 1 \pmod{p}$$
To do this, we first rewrite it in the following form:
$$a^{p-1} \equiv a^{p-1}a^{p-1} \equiv a^{p-2} \cdot a^{p-1} \pmod{p}$$
And then we replace $a$ with $a-1$. So:
$$(a-1)^{p-1} \equiv a^{p-1} \pmod{p}$$
And finally we use the Euclidean algorithm to find the Euclidean divisor. So:
$$\gcd(a-1, p) \cdot (p – \frac{p-1}{\gcd(a-1,p)}(a-1) \equiv a \pmod{p}$$
And thus the solution is:
$$a \equiv a \cdot (a-1)^{\frac{p-1}{\gcd(a-1,p)}} \pmod{p}$$
However, it appears that this solution is incorrect. I think this is because I’m not taking the other solutions into account. Can anyone point out the error of my solution?

HINT: If you multiply both sides by $a-1$ and then divide by $a-1$, then you get
