In 1974, he joined IBM, where he headed the Corporate Quality Department. Deming worked as a consultant for IBM, consulting for other companies. He also became an associate professor at Carnegie Mellon University. He retired in 1985.
In 1956, Deming published his book Out of the Crisis, which went on to become one of the most widely read management books of the 1950s and 1960s. He went on to write five more books, many of which focused on improving the quality of products and services.
His first book, Out of the Crisis, was published in 1956. In it, he described the benefits of making technical systems more like scientific systems. The next two books, The New Economics (1962) and Organizing for Quality (1967), expanded on his main ideas. In the latter two books, Deming proposed that organizations must have the characteristics of scientific organizations.
Out of the Crisis, Organizing for Quality, and The New Economics are also credited for creating the term “total quality management,” which was coined by Deming in his famous article published in The Harvard Business Review in 1970. Total quality management became one of the most important developments in quality management in the 20th century.
After the publication of Out of the Crisis, Deming continued working on quality management, founding the Center for Quality in Productivity at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

For people searching for a solution to this problem, the problem is that the key generator (found in Autocad 2000) needs a “file” connection to be used, where you can just save a file of a key.
