This application is a Console app and not a GUI app. It is cross-platform to make it easy to use for people in multiple OS’s. How to use aria2 RPC Manager:
The aria2 RPC Manager can be used for both system-wide and user-specific applications.
To launch the application in RPC mode you can follow the following steps:
1. Launch the aria2 RPC Manager application:
Double-click the aria2-rpc-manager-bin.bin file. The GUI will be launched.
2. Select the host (the IP address to which you wish to connect) and port (TCP port 9777 for RPC mode) you wish to use for the application.
3. Select “Aria2 RPC” or “Local” from the list on the right.
4. Edit the script (you can use Notepad, if you wish) and modify the settings as required (this includes host, port, username and password).
5. Set the mode to “User” or “System” from the list.
6. Set the timeout to the desired value.
7. Set the mode to “No” or “Yes”. In the next screen you’ll be able to select between the “No” and “Yes” options.
8. Press “Start” to start the application in RPC mode or “Stop” to stop it.
9. To use the application for the first time, you’ll have to set the options from the beginning.
If you wish to use the service system-wide, you will have to compile the application into a standalone program.
To compile the application you will have to:
1. Install cygwin on your machine
2. Download the sources
3. Change the directory to the aria2-rpc-manager directory
4. From the aria2-rpc-manager directory, run the following commands to compile the application:
In the next step you can enter the IP address to which you wish to connect. By entering “127.0.0.1” you can connect to the local computer.
