mode 2 by default, and you have a 40x drive model no. 6Y090US and an HDLoader copied from a friend i installed the hd and formatted with no problem ithen stored my resident evil outbreak on to the drive successfully only problem is that it doesn’t boot up i know it is supposed to be played on mode 3 so when i tried that the game never loaded all i got was a black screen any help would be useful and greatly appreciated Thank You

For those of you who do not know, FMCB is a softmod for the PS2 that allows one to run homebrew applications (including but not limited to various loaders, ftp clients and emulators) and play backups of their games through either a disc based medium* or through a HDDLoader. Its best asset however comes from the fact that its installed on the memory card so once installed its available on most PS2 consoles in essence, youve hacked every PS2 console youve come into contact with. Furthermore, if your friend wants to have it you can place it on their card using your own.

FMCB: FGameCompilingBootloader is a bootloader that will allow users to dump and load games on the PS2. Using SEGA’s game authoring software and the FGameCompiling project on Github, it should be possible to use the GBE on the PS2 with FGameCompilingBootloader. To do this, you’ll need to emulate the igo2 chip and extract a game binary on disk. You can find the binaries for Saturn, Dreamcast, and Arcade Masterspace games on the igo2 github site. As of right now, the igo2 github site has not yet been updated, however I expect someone to eventually do it. If you can do all of this, it is possible to dump and load SEGA games on the PS2. Currently the only SEGA game to properly work with the GBE on the PS2 is Saturn Quest.

I have a hard drive with a folder on it that contains several games and other files. I would like to know if i can install those files to the hard drive and play them them with out having to buy another hard drive or any software to play the games on the new hard drive because like i said i never buy anything to play games. I hate going to play something and it being not working. I just want to know that my money is going to good. I have tried to download free software and it never works for me. but the games work just fine. If not can you give me some advice of what kind of things i can do with out having to buy any software.
