i have a sound card in my computer called audigy se (sb0570). i downloaded the software on a cd and when i installed it, i heard the theme song that came with windows xp pro. that’s not a problem. but when i opened the control panel and went to the sound tab, there were no audio drivers there. then i tried again, and this time the same thing happened. i think i’d probably need someone to help me on the internet or some thing like that. but i did this installation like 3 times and it just won’t show any drivers for my sound card. i’m confused on what to do now..
u just gotta check and see if the model your sound card is listed under (that you can download the drivers from) supports your specific model number. go and do it then and save yourself some time and anxiety. you will know for sure when you get your drivers by comparing their model number to that of your sound card.
the sound was very good. it replaced the default onboard sound. i found it amazing how clear and crisp it sounded and how it even gets better when the volume is turned up. there is a slight echo after loud sounds, but it really is an amazing sound. there is one con, though: if you are using your speakers with a volume control, don’t use it. it cuts out the sound.
finally i got my sound card to work! i think i used sound card setting of speaker test to check to see if it worked. if it worked, then i guess it means it works? anyway, i tried this also and it still didn’t work. i wonder what the problem was? anyway, if it doesn’t work, then i guess i need sound card setting to check it out. anyway, the sound was very good. i tried music that i downloaded, and it’s very good. the volume is loud enough and it sounds very good.
i was able to install the software without a problem. it went pretty well and everything worked out great. i’m sure that the settings are a lot like windows xp’s sound card settings. some changes were required. i found a better way to shut down the sound card. i also found that there was no sound test or speaker test utility.
i bought it because i dont have any other analog card and wanted to upgrade my dac quality, while i was at it i was going to upgrade to a better chipset on board. sound blaster audigy se original install cd
one of the only minor cons is that it came with a flimsy packaged. it was a little top heavy on the one side and wont stand up by itself. so install it properly and you wont have this problem, otherwise i really didnt have any.
i think i did my homework well on this build. i’m very satisfied with my build. i would recommend this to anyone getting into audio or audio/video. this has a built in amp so it should last a long time with no changes to your power setup. it’s a killer deal at this price point.
installed the card, downloaded the latest drivers from creative. it will not load. upon restart it begins to check for updates which will not work. rechecked bios and everything is all good. when i went to the creative site, they do not know what the problem is. i went to forums and nobody knows. no one has this problem. any suggestions?
i have the audio drive that has many different xp drivers. while it’s not a great experience, it does allow me to use many different drivers. i’m looking for the original soundblaster drivers that came on the install cd. can anyone help me out?
