the movie was released with much hype and bollywood buffs did not let any opportunity to praise the movie. needless to say all went well for the movie and all praise was duly justified. the movie has been a huge hit all around
the story about him would not be complete without mentioning his older brother shikhar (varun dhawan) who is his only support system in the family. shikhar is a straight a student in college. although he has a job, he wants his brother to be a great doctor and succeed in life and starts encouraging aditya to pursue a medical course. one day he is killed in an accident. aditya becomes a ghost and yamraj (sanjay dutt) the god of death tries to remove this impediment to his destiny.
shahid kapoor: pitted against a series of increasingly bizarre supernatural adversities, the ghostly aditya must save his family, yamraj and his lover yamini (amrita rai). to make his loved ones a happier reality, aditya has to fulfill their fates before the hand of death strikes again!
and one of the best thing about the movie is the success of the film is not attributed to the star cast, the success is attributed to the distributors, shahid kapoor and amrita rai. i must say this is not their first hit in the industry. apart from their numerous hitfilms they have also been assigned the most loveable characters in ishkqin the jungle, jai ho and student of the year.
the movie was a hit at the box office and i think the best thing about the movie is that it manages to keep you glued to the screen for the whole movie. it manages to keep you guessing throughout the story and so even before the end, you are in a daze, fearing what would happen to the characters in the movie. the whole movie is romantic in a dark light. the story is very good, the dialogues are well delivered in all the scenes. the film was directed by pankaj kumar and written by sohail parvez.
