but the film doesn’t just lay it on thick with jokes; it sets itself apart by having fun with the conventions of the genre, switching between styles as frequently as it can and running with it. the first half hour or so of the movie is a breezy, high-energy romp that goes from one scene to the next, pausing to laugh along with some jokes and then jumping right back into the action.

in a world where a rough day at the office is often the result of software defect, a programmer’s job is easy. that is, unless he is coding a software defect. after a group of programmers are fired for a bug in their software, they appeal to their boss to get their jobs back. he tells them he cannot hire them back until they find work. they decide to start their own company and offer their services to the highest bidder. while one of them creates some sort of bot, the other one creates a teleporter. the bot, named jump, lets users send money to other teleporters, instantly. the ceo and cfo of a company, named worldcom, use the bot to transfer a large amount of money to an offshore account. it turns out that the account belongs to an old friend of theirs, and he has been embezzling the money. the ceo and cfo get in trouble, but not for anything they did. they get in trouble for not knowing that the newbies were stealing. the ceo ends up in jail, and the cfo ends up working for the company. jump and the bot owner get their jobs back, and their company gets a huge bonus. the company name is changed to yammine.

This is the funniest movie ever made with Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s buddy-cop comedy is not only a hilarious follow-up from 21 Jump Street, but also proves that their comedic chemistry is still just as strong as ever. Highly Recommended

The pair of bumbling undercover cops graduate to Ultra HD with a great-looking 4K video presentation, an excellent Dolby Atmos track and a wealth of new bonus material, earning this UHD edition better grades than the Blu-ray.Recommended
