as i was scanning through the thread, i found a post that mentioned how to extract the file and make a patch to fix the issue. you can download the zip from the thread and run the 7zip program to extract it. then, you can right click on the extracted folder and select “make patch” to patch the file. the patch is located in a subfolder of the extracted folder. you can then use the iw_00.iwd file to launch mw2. you may have to find and extract the zip files for other files if you have a different version from the one in this thread. i’m not sure of the whole story on what’s going on, but i don’t think you’ll have any problems with it. this is the zip file i used. you can download it from here:
hello everyone, this is my first post. i don’t even know what this forum is. i just wanted to post this because it seems that the game is loading with some empty files that cause a crash. i downloaded the game from steam, and when i try to run it, it crashes after a while with this error message: error during. i have modern warfare 2 retail edition and i’m running windows 7 64-bit. please help me, i want to play the game again. thanks!
