star wars: episode i the phantom menace is the first feature film in the star wars franchise. it is a prequel to the original trilogy and takes place approximately 30 years before episode i. the film was directed by george lucas, written by lawrence kasdan and was released on june 19th, 1999. the film stars ewan mcgregor, natalie portman, liam neeson, ian mcdiarmid, samuel l. jackson and other actors.
this is a very easy movie to follow and understand, as the story is quite simple. i watched it with my son, and he enjoyed it very much, and could not figure out what was so bad about the movie. this is a family movie, and i would recommend it to all ages. i give it a 7 out of 10 stars.
the main character here is a modern day girl who has been raised by the jedi to be the next generation of lightsabers. she is a young girl who looks about fourteen years old, and she is very cute. in the beginning, she is trained by a young boy, and the movie follows his training in the jedi ways. she is also trained by a young girl (the sister of her master) as well.
this is a good movie for kids, as the story is very simple, yet it is still a good movie. the story and characters are all well-done, and the kids will love it.
i give this movie a 7 out of 10 stars.
the movie starts off in the desert planet of tatooine, where the three original star wars characters, luke skywalker, han solo, and princess leia are trapped in a swamp by an evil mutant creature that wants to eat them. in the present time, the three friends are returning to mos eisley spaceport in a small ship to try and board the famous freighter. they arrive in time to watch the final moments of the rebel alliance and to see the empire send in its reinforcements.
this is a comedy, adventure, and action movie, with a special blend of violence, humor and romance. the characters are well-developed and believable, and the conflicts are well-thought-out and developed. the story line is well-thought-out and you don’t lose the plot until the end. the movie has just enough humor and action to satisfy the children, and enough violence and humor to satisfy the adults. i give it a 9 out of 10 stars.
the acting in this movie is extremely good. the cast is superb and the chemistry is amazing. all the characters are believable and the emotions are well-written and displayed. i can’t really say much else about this because i love this movie so much, but i do want to say that i really enjoyed this movie. i give it a nine out of ten. this is a must-watch movie for any fan of the star wars franchise.
this was a fun ride. i was a little weary at first, wondering how they were going to blend star wars into a sci-fi comedy, but it worked. it’s like a tv show, only it has all these funny characters. i loved the references to the original trilogy, and they blended it well into the film. most of the jokes are pretty good. there are some that are just too dumb for a sci-fi film, but that doesn’t stop it from being funny. the biggest problem with this movie is that it doesn’t go anywhere. i think the first scene should have been dropped and then they could have had a continuous story, but i guess this is a long way from being made. it’s a fun, short, and it’s entertaining.
star wars biomes is a clever concept, and while it is not a perfect movie, it is definitely a fun watch. the characters are well-written and the references to the star wars universe are good. the various locations are entertaining, but sometimes you are just wondering what they could have done better. it would have been nice to see the entire first half of the movie take place on hoth, and then see what happened when they got to tatooine. it would have been interesting to see where they went after they got to tatooine.a fun ride, definitely watchable, but not a perfect movie. recommended.
