Windows 8 X86 Ultra Lite – ITAl
If you look at the Service Pack Roadmap, you’ll see that the intent is to release Service Packs for Windows 10 by the time Windows 8 is no longer supported. Today, the following Windows 8 releases have already been retired from Windows Update: Windows 8.1 – August 2015 Windows 8 – November 2013 Windows 8.1 and Windows 8 are no longer offered for sale, but they continue to be available for download from Microsoft. In addition, none of these releases are supported by hardware vendors or distributors. If you need to install, configure or perform maintenance on a Windows 8 system, contact your preferred Microsoft Reseller or visit Support and Resources – Windows 8 (Retired)
The features we added to Windows 10 are the following: support for Universal Windows Platform (UWP) Apps, new Windows Ink features, Windows Search improvements, Action Center improvements, and improvements to PC Settings. These changes helped us add the rich ecosystem to Windows 10 and provided tremendous value for users. We felt it was important to support the Windows 8.x ecosystem to maintain the parity between Windows 8.x and Windows 10. For example, we added new Store features for Windows 8.1 Pro and updated the Metro UI for Windows 8.1 apps to be the same as those for Windows 10. We also updated the Start menu to make it more like the Windows 10 Start menu. And we continued to expand the PC Settings to help users manage devices and apps. We also continued to update security and reliability for our Windows 10 features.
Because of the number of issues we have had with Windows 8.1, we will not release Service Pack 1 for Windows 8.1. When we do, we will do it in a similar fashion to what we did with Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2, and will include those with Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 as a stand-alone download. We will continue to support Windows 8.1 in the current channel as well as provide security and reliability updates for the OS.

FREDERICK, Md. – For the second year in a row, Engineered Plastics Inc. is giving back to the community during National Engineers Week. âWhen it comes to the .Full-text search for Lucene
We’re working on an application that will need to perform full-text search over large body of documents stored in our SQL Server database. I’ve been looking at using Lucene.NET to find some solutions and have stumbled across a few things. I’m not sure if this is a good option for us and I’m asking for some advice from those that have done this before. Here’s the issues we’re facing:
I’m not clear on whether the indexing and searching will be done on the table in the database or will be done in a separate process. Will this process be an active one or passive? I’m not clear on when the index will be created – will it be after an insert of a new document or once all documents are in the table?
My first thought was to have a background process that created the Lucene index and that process was run once a day. From what I’ve seen (though I haven’t used it in that way) if you have a Lucene index that is populated, you should only query that index once the index has been built. If you have multiple indexes with multiple prefixes to the same document, the index will automatically be built or searched. I’m not sure if the same holds true for the database. Does the table hold the document or are the documents stored in the table?
The server we’re using is a shared server and we need to deploy this application to other servers. I’m not sure if this would be an issue or not. I don’t think so but I’m not certain.
Will the Lucene index have to be rebuilt with each new document that is inserted into the database?
I’ve seen some cases where there’s a lot of I/O on the network due to the data being replicated to the Lucene index server so depending on the workload on the server, I’m wondering if this will be a big deal.
I’m not clear on what the process will look like – will it be a 1-time index and then
