Our Admissions Process

We're ecstatic you are interesting in joining South Florida Fashion Academy in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida. As an elite, full-time, in-person private middle and high school (grades 6-12) offering dual-enrollment programs that allow students to receive their core curriculum education (math, science, social studies, language arts) while also allowing students to explore the dynamic world of fashion, beauty, art and business, we're always looking to accept and enroll new creative students into our growing student body. Below is an outline of the New Student Admissions Application Process and necessary documents and forms that are necessary to be accepted into SF/FA. Scholarships are available to new students and our staff work one-on-one with prospective parents and students to guide them through the scholarship and application process.  STEP 1: Fill out the SF/FA Online Admissions Inquiry Form
Prospective students and parents interested in attending South Florida Fashion Academy can fill out this Admissions Inquiry Form. Once this form has been submitted online, a SF/FA Admissions Director will be in contact with the prospective parent via email or telephone within 24-72 hours.
STEP 2: Campus TourÂ
A South Florida Fashion Academy Admissions Director will reach out to all prospective parents to schedule an on-site campus tour at South Florida Fashion Academy located at 4850 N State Road 7, Suite G109 in Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33319 to explore SF/FA's expansive 11,000 sq. ft. campus.
STEP 3: Schedule & Complete In-Person Student/Family Interview
Following a campus tour, the SF/FA registrar will schedule a Student/ Family Interview with South Florida Fashion Academy's Admissions Director. During the Student/Family Interview, an Admissions Director will review South Florida Fashion Academy's official acceptance policy, academic placement policies, procedures and dual-enrollment programs. Prospective parents and students will receive additional printed forms from the SF|FA Admissions Director that will be required to be completed and submitted during the interview as apart of the official application process.
STEP 4: Submit All Required Documents and Application Forms
SF|FA will request the transfer of student records from the prospective student's previous school along with other key essential identification documents. DOCUMENTS THAT PROSPECTIVE PARENTS/STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT TO SOUTH FLORIDA FASHION ACADEMY:
- Physician’s Physical Exam Form (Yellow)
- Immunizations Record (Blue) [Must include T.B. Tine Test]
- Copy of Student's Birth Certificate
- Copy of Student’s Social Security Card
- Copy of Parent’s Social Security Card
- Copy of Parent’s Driver’s License
- Submit completed Step-Up-For-Students form or Family Employment Scholarship form for students with unique abilities (FES-UA). Please ensure that you have your approval number and paperwork.
- Administrator's recommendation
- Student report cards from the past two years
- Standardized test scores
- Teacher recommendation
- Psychological evaluations and/or IEP from previous school (if applicable)
- Official Transcripts from Previous School
*Several of these documents can be picked up at the prospective student's previous school and/or emailed, faxed, or mailed directly to SF|FA from the previous school.
STEP 5: Acceptance Decision Notification
Within 24 hours of receiving all necessary completed documents and application forms, prospective parents and students will be contacted by South Florida Fashion Academy with an official acceptance decision. If the prospective student is accepted with agreed-upon tuition rate and fees, parents/ guardians will be required to complete an enrollment agreement contract outlining payment options and terms. The signed enrollment contract and receipt of non-refundable fees and tuition deposit (if applicable) will be completed with the assistance of SF|FA's Admissions Director.
STEP 6: Entrance Evaluation Review / Academic Assessment
After acceptance and enrollment is completed, SF|FA will schedule the newly enrolled student to complete an academic assessment exam. This will aid SF|FA faculty in developing a personalized education plan and place the student in the appropriate academic courses and programs that align with their current learning level and interests.
STEP 7: Guidance Appointment
An appointment will be made for the newly enrolled student and family to meet with an SF|FA guidance counselor to review academic assessment and assist in recommending proper, initial course selections for newly enrolled students. Initial course selection and class placement will be discussed with you at this time.
