Nail Technology Program
At South Florida Fashion Academy, we provide students in grades 6th – 12th their primary core education (Math, Reading/Language Arts, Science, Social Studies) as well as creative electives via our innovative dual enrollment programs. These customized learning plans allow each individual student to channel their creativity into studying and mastering classic and bold nail designs in our Nail Technology Program. Our expanding beauty department provides unparalleled education, innovative solutions, and a platform for young students to explore the nail technology craft. Whether students are looking to refine their skills, learn new trends, or start a nail technology career and business venture, we offer the resources and expertise to help young passionate students learn the essentials for kicking off a successful new nail design and technology career. Following receiving our nail technology curriculum via theoretical instruction and hands-on practice, students will ultimately be prepared to take the state board licensing exam upon graduation.
Students starting in middle school can channel their creativity into a bold and vibrant career as a nail technologist here in Fort Lauderdale and beyond. At South Florida Fashion Academy, our students are trained by licensed, experienced nail professionals who are passionate about sharing their industry expertise and knowledge. Our creative middle school and high school students at South Florida Fashion Academy get the opportunity to learn how to become a nail technologist via our innovative Nail Technology Program. Under this program, our full-time students learn their core subjects in the first half of the school day and following lunch, they study their elective in nail technology under our expanding Beauty Program. Our students interested in studying nail technology can practice 180-240 hours of real-world, practical instruction as they prepare to take the nail specialist license exam in Florida. Our Nail Technology Program teaches hands-on skills including manicures, pedicures, nail extensions, and nail art, along with theory on sanitation, nail anatomy, and business aspects of the industry.Â
