
South Florida Fashion Academy Director & Founder, Taj McGill, Inducted Into Lauderdale Lakes Economic Development Advisory Board

South Florida Fashion Academy is estatic to announce its founder and director, Taj McGill, has been sworn into the 2025 Economic Development Advisory Board for the City of Lauderdale Lakes recently on Friday, February 14th, 2025 at City Hall (4300 NW 36th Street, Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33319).
Recommended by the mayor of Lauderdale Lakes, Veronica Edwards Phillips, McGill is ecstatic to join the city’s Economics Development Advisory Board along with six other distinguished business leaders and innovators living and working in the region. “I’m honored to be a part of this board and support the mayor and city commissioners in shaping our local government and providing valuable insights into the decision-making process for our community, especially when it comes to growing our local creative and fashion economy and talent, ” said Taj McGill.
As a passionate and creative entrepreneur, McGill is excited to support the city in fostering greater economic growth and development as it relates to fashion, business, art and beauty industries. “As I continue to grow my academy and help develop the next generation of bright fashion designers and beauty professionals, it will be great to find ways to further support our youth with proactive city programs, events and initiatives,” McGill continued.
Each board member is chosen based on their reputation for integrity, commitment, civic activism or accomplishment, in addition to the skills, knowledge, professional expertise, or business ability directly related to providing effective service to the Economic Development Advisory Board. As a prominent educator and business owner with a campus of over 11,000 sq. ft. in Lauderdale Lakes, McGill will be sworn in and recognized this Friday at City Hall along with other business owners, educators and prominent residents.
